what we do

Meat is a staple diet for almost every Nigerian, and Lagosians are not left out. The Lagos State Government 6+-has made it a point to ensure the safe and hygienic food consumption of every Lagosian. The safe handling, transportation and storage of beef products has for a long time been an issue in the country, and both State and Federal Governments have taken bold steps to make sure these are properly done.

It is not news that most of the meat handled in Nigeria today are done so in slaughter slabs and open meat markets where the sanitary environment is very questionable. This is not healthy for the consumers, even for the sellers as well as the produce is easily contaminated. The unhygienic processes exposes said meat produce exposes it to contamination with Food-borne pathogens like E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella that can be harmful to consumers.

To this end we envision to construct a modern, world class and professionally run and managed abattoir in Ibeju-lekki that will serve the Lekki – Epe axis in the short term and eventually the greater Lagos metropolis in the provision of safe, hygienic and affordable meat produce. The facility is still in its planning stages with our relevant partners and construction is expected to be completed by 4th quarter of 2021
